Step 1

Gather the necessary materials.

Step 2

Draw the shape of the pencil (5 cm wide and 15 cm long) using a ruler.

Step 3

Cut out the pencil following the lines.

Step 4

From a sheet of white paper, cut out a triangle shaped like the pencil lead. Then glue it onto the lead part of the pencil.

Step 5

Using a black felt-tip pen, draw the pencil lead.

Step 6

Personalise the pencil with drawings or a short message.

Step 7

Draw funny eyes (or stick on “eye” stickers) to bring your bookmark to life!

Step 8

Cut out three sides of a small rectangle in the middle of the pencil, as shown in the photo.

Step 9

And there you have it, your bookmark is ready! All you have to do is slide it between 2 pages.
