DIY Safari Ring Toss Game

A fun Diy safari game of skill

Get ready to put your aim to the test! In this activity, you’ll build your own safari ring toss game using paper and a few simple supplies. Once it’s assembled, challenge your family and friends to see who can score the most points by landing rings over the South African animals.

Simple Steps

Step 1

Gather all your materials and print the template sheet.

Step 2

Bring the safari animals to life by colouring each animal, and the other game pieces.

Step 3

Carefully cut out all the game pieces, including the animals and background sections.

Step 4

Fold the blue sheet into an accordion shape, just like the example shown in the image.

Step 5

Glue the grass, mountain backdrop and safari game sign onto the folded blue sheet.

Step 6

Fold the tabs underneath each animal, apply glue and stick them onto the matching spaces to make them stand upright.

Step 7

Set up your safari scene and get ready to play.

Step 8

Cut four rings for each player from different coloured sheets of paper so everyone has their own set (4 per player).

Step 9

Take turns tossing your paper rings and try to land one around a safari animal. The player with the most successful throws wins. Once the game is over, let your safari animals roam free again!
