DIY Back-to-School Gift: Create a Personalised Pen Case for Your Teacher
This easy DIY project shows you how to make a custom pen case that’s simple to put together and fun to personalise.
The thoughtful touch? Add one or two pens, a bookmark, or a small handmade card to create a “Welcome Back To School, Teacher!” kit that’s perfect for the start of a new school year.

- 2 Sheets of white paper
- Sellotape
- 1 Glue stick
Simple Steps
Step 2
Print the drawing of your choice and colour it in.
Step 3
Print and colour the Welcome Back card. The child can write their name or a short back-to-school message on it.
Step 4
Cut along the top line of each card so the balloons stand out, just like in the photo.
Step 5
Fold the small Welcome Back card along the dotted lines. Carefully cut the slits with scissors. You can now slide the pens into place.
Step 6
Secure the pens at the back using sellotape.
Step 7
Create the pocket by folding, folding over and gluing the two sides.
Step 8
You can now insert the pens into the pouch. Make sure the balloon with the arrow is slightly sticking out.
Step 9
Your thoughtful back-to-school gift is ready to welcome your teacher into a fresh new year!
To reveal the surprise, simply pull the balloon upwards.
